A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, MICHAEL E. PLATTE earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and later attended Southern University Law Center where he received his law degree. After law school, Michael began his legal career working for a title company in Zachary, Louisiana. Since then, he has been involved in a wide range of matters including civil litigation and construction law. During his 10 years of practicing law, Michael has performed multiple real estate transactions. He has also represented buyers, sellers, contractors, investors and other parties in various aspects of real estate transactions and litigation. Michael is also a licensed realtor for the State of Louisiana.
Michael is also active in his community. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, where he served as chairman of the club’s largest fundraiser – Steak & Stake – for both 2017 and 2018. He is also the former chairman/founder of the Business/Corporate law section for the Baton Rouge Bar Association, as well as a former member of the Baton Rouge Rotary Club, where he served as co-chairman of the Rotaract committee.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two small children.
